The place is very beautiful, the house is big enough and clean. Everything was available. The house keepers are very kindly and helpful. We could put the car inside the garden, we got clearly instruction about the home, and the gest came back to ask us if everything is all right or may we need something.

The apartment was lovely and big with a well- equipped kitchen. It is located in a beautiful part of the Black Forest. We were there during some cold, miserable weather but the apartment was always beautifully warm and cosy. There is no mobile signal and the WiFi was intermittent. We were disappointed that there was very little open in the village (it was like a ghost town) but we made good use of the unmanned supermarket- it was a bit tricky to use as we don’t speak German, but we managed. We travelled further afield for restaurants and shops. The photos of the outside of the property must have been taken a long time ago as we didn’t recognise it when we arrived. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and was handy for our 2 dogs. Remember tick treatment if you bring dogs because there are thousands in the area.

Me and my family of 4 had a wonderful time here. The apartment is very modern, stylish, comfortable. Adults and kids both enjoyed the place. It is less than 50 meters from a farm business. We could buy milk and eggs from the farmer-owner couple. Farm-to-table and so delicious! It is situated in a beautiful area surrounded on all sides by mountains close and far. The star of the experience was definitely the friendly dog Kora. Please bear in mind she is a working dog! She helps out at the farm and most of the day after noon she can be found spread out somewhere in the property ready to receive your attention and petting. My kids will definitely not forget it anytime soon. Unfortunately, I had prepared things far away while there are plenty of places to hike nearby the property. Ask the hosts! And this is why I am sure that this was not my last time visiting Stegen.

A wonderful and comfortable home. It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was comfortable. The large (fenced) yard was terrific. Very quiet area. Many hiking and biking trails in the vicinity. The Eifel National park is just beautiful. The hosts are easy to reach and very responsive.
