The mountain lake at Vogel is great for family-friendly swimming. Alternatively, rent a kayak and see the park from a new perspective, or try aqua cycling, another fun activity that's quite different from traditional boating. You can also fish for trout at the shore, pier, or on the lake from a boat.
The Civilian Conservation Corps helped make the park what it is today. This museum will help you understand and appreciate their contributions to conserving Georgia's natural environment. Check out the photographs and read about the lives of these nature lovers.
Choose from any of the park's four picnic shelters and make the most of the great outdoors with some al fresco dining. Picnic Shelter One is wheelchair accessible, and all four are dog friendly. There's also a lake pavilion available to rent, which is perfect for events such as family reunions.
