A well-regarded 2.2-mile loop trail, the Osprey Trail runs through one of the last remaining areas of slash pine. A nature lover's paradise, this route is ideal for spotting osprey, bald eagles, and great horned owls.
This loop trail intercepts the Osprey Trail mentioned above, where the habitat transitions to beach sunflowers, cross vine, and cabbage palms. Take the time to do some birding and spot black skimmers or brown pelicans while visiting Honeymoon Island State Park. Both trails combined run approximately 2.5 miles.
Honeymoon Island State Park features around 4 miles of sandy beaches, including an area ideal for collecting a variety of pretty seashells washed in by the Gulf of Mexico. Why not explore the shoreline before heading back to your Honeymoon Island State Park cabins nearby?
