Best Hiking Trails in Swallow Falls State Park
The trail system at Swallow Falls State Park is often rated as one of the best in the area, and the main trails live up to their reputation. A selection of shorter and longer hikes are available, in addition to a handicap accessible route to Muddy Creek Falls, and a side route to Tolliver Falls.

1. The 1.25 Mile Hike
This is trail with scenic views, as you progress past several waterfalls including the tallest in the state. You'll see Muddy Creek Falls, Swallow Falls, and some old growth forest while you're visiting Swallow Falls State Park. This trail is graded between easy and moderate, with some rocky terrain.

A longer trail that's accessible for hikers and mountain bikers. The route runs from Swallow Falls to Herrington Manor State Park, and includes Garrett State Forest.
