Best Hiking Trails in Pokagon State Park
There are numerous hiking trails to explore when visiting Pokagon State Park, and with a range of difficulty levels clearly marked, you will easily find something suitable for your particular group and their capabilities. Hike across lake beaches, through wooded hills, wetlands, and open meadows.

1. Pokagon Trail No.1
This two-mile trail takes you from the Inn to the Apple Orchard picnic area and is moderate in difficulty. Ideal for birdwatching and flower spotting, you will also have the chance to stop at the Nature Center.

2. Pokagon Trail No.4
This 1.4-mile trail is rated easy but still takes in a variety of different habitats including the hardwood forests and rolling plains. The end of this walk will also bring you to Trail No. 5 if you feel like continuing.

3. Pokagon Trail No.9
The only trail rated as rugged on the difficulty scale, following this path will take you through swamp and forest as you head east. You will also have the chance to see a number of Civilian Conservation Corps stone dams.
