1. Lower Trail
A half-mile hike offering access to the falls. Ideal for beginners or if you're seeing an easy-to-moderate hike, with signage and rest stops along the way.

A two-mile hike over some steep terrain, with switchbacks, which take the trail in a zigzag pattern to protect it from erosion. Take your camera to capture some scenic views, and if you want a longer hike, this route connects with the Cat Rock Trail.

A tasty treat if you're visiting Cunningham Falls State Park during the middle two weekends in March. Head to the William Houck area and watch the rangers use traditional methods to turn sap into syrup. The event includes a pancake and sausage breakfast, activities for children, and live music.

Cool off in the summer months at Hunting Creek Lake, but be sure to arrive early, as the three marked swimming areas can get busy. Lifeguards between 11am and 6pm, Memorial Day to Labor Day.
