    Accessible all year round, this moderately difficult hiking trail stretches for 3.2mi. and 52ft. of elevation through the park's wetlands.

  • 2. Theler Wetlands Trail

    Stretching for 3.29mi., this easy trail has smooth terrain and offers visitors an opportunity for bird watching. The trail is also ADA accessible.

  • 3. Mission Creek Singletrack

    This trail is shared with mountain bikers and those on serious nature trips. The heavily trafficked back trail stretches for 8mi. and is accessible all year round. The trail is pet-friendly, but pets should be on a leash.

    The park has great fresh water and salt water resources that are ideal for fishing. The area is home to mussels, oysters, and clams, which can be harvested on a seasonal basis. A state fishing licence is required to fish Big Mission and Little Mission creeks, and a state saltwater licence is required for crab and shellfish harvesting and fishing.

  • 2. Picnicking

    The park has two picnic shelters available on a first come, first served basis. The shelters do not have electrical hookups. Additionally, the park has two sheltered picnic tables and 130 unsheltered picnic tables. The day use area contains ADA restroom facilities and open beach access.

    The park’s vicinity to the fine gravel beaches and temperate waters of the Hood Canal park makes it an ideal place for windsurfing, kayaking, snorkeling, and swimming.

  • 4. Field sports

    Belfair State Park has a vast playing field for sports, with an adjacent play area for children. The field is also open for kite flying.
