Drive to Lake Greenwood to spend a sunny afternoon at the West Cambridge Park and enjoy the public boat landings. At the Greenwood State Park, you’ll have access to swimming facilities and quiet fishing piers. A few blocks from the campus, you’ll find the Uptown Greenwood area that is home to specialty shops, restaurants, and events such as the Festival of Discovery and Live After Five.
Take your kids for a free bounce on Tuesdays at The Fun Factory as you relax and sample some of their drink flavors. When you’re done at the factory, head over to the nearby Expo 300 to enjoy some tournament bowling with your friends.
Enjoy the non-auditioned community chorale concerts of the Greenwood Festival Chorale held at the Lander University in June and December, at the Josephine B. Abney Cultural Center stage. It is a great place to be for art lovers, especially during the Christmas season.
This is a kid-friendly fun place with a lot of games to play. Skate Away USA has a great wooden skating floor and a laser tag arena for playing arcade games and winning prizes. If you or your kids are lucky, you can walk away with a gigantic minion for your tickets. The place is one of most family-friendly attractions in Greenwood. The food at the concession area is above average.
