Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is virtually within the city itself. It's just a 15-minute drive along I-71 to Downtown. From there, it's only another five minutes to the campus on University Circle.
The Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland (MOCA) is housed in a striking geometric glass building, and rivals many of the nation's other great art institutions. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame showcases the lives and talents of the world's best-known musicians. The artistic Tremont quarter has many independent art galleries and cafés at which to while away an afternoon. The Great Lakes Science Center is a stellar place to take kids on an educational trip.
At any time of year, be sure to visit the banks of the magnificent Lake Erie. In warmer weather in particular, check out Headlands Beach State Park, with golden sands ideal for sunbathing. Also straddling the river within Cleveland itself are Lakewood Park and Edgewater Pier, perfect for a day out with your traveling companions. You can also take a ferry to visit the outlying Lake Erie Islands.
