The city of Cancun can be divided in two zones, the Downtown area and the Zona Hotelera (the Hotel Zone). The Underwater Museum, also known as MUSA, is home to 500 sculptures created using materials that encourage coral reef development. The Torre Escenica (Scenic Tower) offers a marvelous view of Cancun and the Caribbean coast. Located 300ft off the ground, learn about the history of Cancun while admiring the 360-degree panoramic birds-eye view of the Zona Hotelera. The deck spins around automatically so you are guaranteed to not miss out on any corner of the area.
The small island of Isla Mujeres, located in the Caribbean Sea, is about 4.5mi. long and less than half a mile wide. The island is popular for its stunning beaches, the sea turtles that reside in its waters, and great opportunities for scuba diving and snorkeling.
