You'll also find beginner trails and terrain parks. This scenic village resort has myriad restaurants, shops, cafés, and pubs. 2. Silver Star Mountain
Set about 22km northeast of Vernon in British Columbia, SilverStar Mountain, a family-friendly ski resort, is known for its laid-back atmosphere. SilverStar, which gets an annual snowfall of 23ft, offers over 130 marked trails and a vertical drop of 2,500ft. Skiers with intermediate skills will love the resort's blue and black runs. The slopes are great for beginners, too. With over 105km of groomed trails and close proximity to Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre, SilverStar is excellent for cross-country skiing. Putnam Creek, one of the nearby mountain faces, has steep terrains ideal for experienced skiers.
Set amid British Columbia's Purcell Mountains, Kimberley is a vibrant and picturesque ski town known for its perfect white powder and awesome sunny weather. With more than 65 runs spread across 1,800 acres, Kimberley has plenty to do. The alpine resort offers a variety of ski in/ski out accommodations and ski terrains in an elegant setting. Magnificent views of the mountains and beautifully groomed trails make Kimberley an excellent choice for families and beginner skiers. Kimberley’s downtown is the short drive from Kimberley Alpine Resort and boasts a wide selection of shops, restaurants, and bars. Exciting activities include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, skating, and fat biking.
