Several fishing organizations, including the Western Bass Club, have declared Clear Lake among the country's best spots for bass fishing. In addition to bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish can be found in the park's waters.
The beach has a designated area for swimming that is open from dawn until dusk. There are showers, toilets, and picnic tables nearby. Dogs and glass bottles are not permitted in this area.
Day visitors to the park are permitted to use the boat launch, and those staying longer can use the marina upon registration – boats require the state's official documentation and sticker. Kayaks, canoes, and other small boats under 8 feet long do not require quagga mussel screening.
