4) JUDGING AND FINALIST SELECTION: All eligible Essays received by Sponsor for each respective Entry Period will be judged by a panel of qualified judges to select up to two (2) Finalists (“Finalists”) (per Entry Period) based on the following judging criteria:
Relevance to prompt (0-5) - How closely does the Entry answer the prompt? Is it on topic?
Explanation (0-5) - How strong is the entrant's description of their club? Does the entrant give at least one reason their club is excited about this Lucy Score x Club Crackers experience?
Quality (0-5) - How high of quality is the Entry? Is it thoughtful, well-written and clear?
In the event of a tie, an additional, “tie-breaking” judge will determine the winner based on the criteria listed herein.
The judging panel will select a maximum of two (2) Finalist Essays to advance to the Finalist Judging Period. Sponsor may choose less than two (2) Finalists Essays in the event there are not a sufficient number of eligible Essays received. The two (2) Essays with the highest overall scores from the judging panel at the conclusion of the Essay judging for the respective Entry Period will be determined to be the Finalists. Once selected, the two (2) Finalists will be contacted by a representative of the Sponsor or its designee via email; and must agree to a background check and complete a background check authorization form. Background check authorization form must be completed and returned to Sponsor or its designee by Finalist within 24-hours of notification. Such background check may include (but is not limited to) investigation of employment history, criminal or other arrest or conviction record, sex offender registry and any other factor deemed relevant by Sponsor to help ensure that a Finalist will not, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, bring Sponsor or any other Contest Entity into public disrepute, contempt, scandal, or ridicule, or reflect unfavorably on Sponsor or any other Contest Entity. If requested, the Finalist agrees to sign release forms authorizing the release of personal and background information for purposes of the background check and property rental. Sponsor shall have no liability for any Finalist notification that is lost, intercepted or not received by a potential Finalist for any reason. If, despite reasonable efforts, a potential Finalist does not respond within 24-hours of the first notification attempt and/or provide their completed authorization within this time period, the potential Finalist will be disqualified and no additional Finalists will be selected for the respective Entry Period.
5) FINALIST JUDGING / GRAND PRIZE SELECTION. The judging panel will judge the Finalist Essays using the above noted judging criteria during the Finalist Judging Period for each respective Entry Period in order to determine the Grand Prize winner. The Finalist Essay with the highest overall score from the judging panel at the conclusion of the Finalist Judging Period will be the Grand Prize winner (subject to verification) for the respective Entry Period. In the event of a tie between any Finalist Essays, an additional, “tie-breaking” judge will determine the Finalist based on the judging criteria listed herein. .
6) WINNER NOTIFICATION: Each potential Grand Prize winner will be notified via email within 72-hours of end of the respective Finalist Judging Period and will be required to have notarized and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability/Publicity, along with the HomeToGo (“Agreement”), and complete / return an IRS Form W-9 (for tax reporting purposes) as described below (collectively, “Winner’s Documents”). Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify a potential winner based on the results of such background check if Sponsor determines in its sole discretion that selecting such potential prize winner might reflect negatively on the Sponsor. Contest Entities shall have no liability for any winner notification that is lost, intercepted or not received by a potential winner for any reason. If, despite reasonable efforts, a potential winner does not respond within twenty-four (24) hours of the first notification attempt, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable to such potential winner, such potential winner will forfeit their prize and a runner-up winner may be selected based on the judging process noted herein. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, will attempt to contact up to one (1) potential winner for each Entry Period of the prize in accordance with the above procedure, after which the prize in question may go unawarded if it remains unclaimed. If any potential prize winner is found to be ineligible, or if they have not complied with these Official Rules or decline the prize for any reason prior to award, such potential prize winner will be disqualified and an alternate prize winner may be selected. Additionally, any potential winner will be subject to a background check before being confirmed as a winner.
