Red Rock State Park Cabins

A fun and easy 2.4 mile loop trail popular with families visiting Red Rock State Park. Head to the overlook for views of several different rock formations and ranges, with education boards giving you more information about the area. A great trail for birdwatching, and identifying native wild flowers.

An easy 1.7 mile loop with minimal elevation, and you can bring your dog! Keep your eyes and ears open and you may see coyote or Mule deer. Hike past the Utah juniper or sagebrush as you make your way back to one of the Red Rock State Park hotels nearby.

An award-winning mega trail running 15 miles from Dead Horse Ranch State Park to Red Rock State Park. Hike, bike, or horse ride down this route, which features a section of the historic Lime Kiln Wagon Road.

Regular opportunities throughout the year to meet with volunteer naturalists and find out more about the Sedona landscape, and the species that call it home. There's even the opportunity to enjoy a Red Rock sunset and moonrise on a night time hike, before heading back to your nearby Red Rock State Park cabins.

A must-do on every visit to the park, Here you can find out about the exciting junior ranger and junior buddy programs, pick up a souvenir in the gift shop, or watch one of the nature films in the theater. There's also hands-on exhibits about the park's wildlife, and the interesting story of early human inhabitants in the area.

If you're an early riser you can join one of the morning bird walks which run twice weekly throughout the year. Times change with the seasons, but there are plenty of opportunities to see the birdlife, bobcats, Mule deer, and even lizards and tarantulas.
