Best Hiking Trails in Wind Creek State Park
Boasting a wealth of flora and fauna, Wind Creek State Park's hiking trails allow visitors of all ages and experience levels to walk the park. This 1.8mi. trail takes you across hardwood ridges, through a series of unique rock outcroppings, and over a small stream before reaching the lake. In spring, you can expect to see the brilliant colors of white dogwood and oak leaf-hydrangea throughout the route.

A trail of moderate difficulty that loops through 3.8mi. of forest, this route is notable for its abundance of wildlife. For less able hikers, you can choose to take the northern route, which is less than two miles, or the southern route, at 1.8mi.

This 20mi. trail is designed for horseback riders but can also be hiked. With the opportunity to spot flora and fauna and get excellent views of Lake Martin, this route also guides you along a stream and through the park's hardwood forest.
